This previously popular Lenovo Android tablet is back on sale for anyone who missed out last time. The first 10 units are US$193.39 (~A$298.07) and onces sold out it'll become US$195.59 (~A$301.46).

This is the 6GB/128GB MediaTek Kompanio 1300T CPU variant of the Xiaoxin Pad Pro in the colour Gold that's quite light in colour. I've been using this one since January and it's easily my favourite tablet yet. The OLED screen is beautiful, the Android ROM isn't sluggish and the CPU/GPU paired with the fast RAM/storage handles every game thrown at it.

Based on screenshots this appears to be running the correct Global ROM with Widevine L1 for Netflix HD, Google Play and OTA updates. However you can reflash the official global ROM by following instructions here and here

Features include an 11.2" 2560x1536 OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 600nits brightness, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision, 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 3.1 Storage (microSD support), 8200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, USB-C with Video Out, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and POGO pins for charging/keyboard.

    • Yep all normal: it's been opened to install the global ROM. There's a line in the ad mentioning they'll do it.

      • Roger that cheers

  • Anyone else receive the Snapdragon version despite selecting the Mediatek version? Order still shows Mediatek, but device is showing the 8GB Snapdragon version. Is this displaying incorrectly as a result of the global firmware?

    • Also, my security seals weren't cut as suggested above.

    • What does the labels on the box say? It should indicate what it is.

      • Mine is MediaTek version with MediaTek logo on the back of the box

      • Right you are, box says Snapdragon. My order, invoice, and everything else online suggests that I ordered the Mediatek version. Am I out of luck in terms of flashing and/or using this as a regular android tablet?

I contacted support to say that I received the wrong tablet and they replied with "Hello friend. Thanks for your ordering" so I can't imagine this being a productive back and forth.

        • Is it running what looks to be plain old Android or ZUI? Ideally you'll want it to be on the latter that will work and has a few more advanced features, as well as being a faster tablet.

          • @Clear: Definitely ZUI. Should I look into flashing it, or just sideloading Google Play or similar? Appreciate your help!

            • @JDrama: You can't flash the official Global ROM onto it because it doesn't exist.

              • @Griffindinho: Gotcha, thanks! I found a YouTube tutorial on getting Google Play up and running. Seems to be ok so far.

  • Received mine today. I immediately ran the Lenovo rescue tool and flashed it with a fresh global ROM. As I didn't use the pre-installed ROM, I didn't dig into it but I noticed the initial Android "getting started' screen was slightly different between the two. I assume this means it comes with either an older legit global ROM or it's unofficial. Since there was no warning about an unlocked bootloader on the pre-installed ROM, I believe that means it more than likely has an older legit ROM.

    • Where do you get the lenovo rescue tool from? Do i just download it from the lenovo site, transfer it to a usb drive and then run it from the pad? I imagine its the same process with the fresh global rom. Thanks for any info as i am a complete newbie!

        • Maybe I'm a bit thick, but i dont quite follow the bit where it says download and install the recovery tool onto my PC, because when I run it, it seems like it will reflash my PC, not my tab. How do I transfer the files over to my tablet, because following the step by step instructions I dont see that being mentioned? Thanks again!
