Inkjet Printers with Direct Scan to Email Capability

I currently have a Canon multifunction inkjet printer that doesn't have the capability to scan directly to email. I need to turn the computer on everytime for scanning so that the scans get saved to a folder.

However, I had a brother multifunction laser printer MFC-L2740DW that could scan directly to email. I don't know the name of the technology.

I am wondering if there are injet printers with scanner that have the direct scan to email capability. Please advise.

Also, I had an Epson printer that wouldn't take aftermarket ink cartridges. So, no Epsons please.

Thanks in advance.

  • on the Canon, cant you scan direct to phone?

    • No, it doesn't have that option.

Are you not happy with your phone's ability to scan documents?

HP is the devil. Epson "used to" be good. Brother seems to be the only one worth going with now.

Also, do NOT get any printer that doesn't have a display where you can interact WITHOUT a PC!

Trust me on this. The printer co's are trying to dumb it down so you must push buttons/install/register/use PHONE APPS with no idea if it's working & then require you to register and/or subscribe to their ink shipments. (HP, b*stards). NO THANKS— I do NOT want to have to use an app and a (profanity) mobile to print a frigging recipe and THEN get suckered into your obscene ink BS. Think I'm exaggerating? You can't even SCAN if your ink is low!
