  How long do the handles last, when do people replace them?

    The Ni-MH models have reduced power over time alongside battery failing. Mine lasted ~4.5 years until I upgraded. Li-ion models seems to be fine and providing same performance across life time. Mine is at it's 2nd year and so far so good.

    Both can have battery replaced. I have mine charged all the time so don't have a lot of feeling on battery life. Now that my parents are using Oral-Bs, I don't even have to bring my handle when I visit them during vacations.

    I think handles are quite durable - my friends never replace their handle until the seal is broken and it got water damage after prolonged use, like 3yr+, or got unlucky and had a burnt motor.

  Maybe the price is only for Katoomba store. Too Ryde is $65 and would not match the price.

  If anyone is wondering, the 1500 is essentially just the Pro 1000, but it's basically a box label for the pack that comes with the travel case.

  @juice08, imho it's not worth it. Most people I speak to use the Bluetooth for about 3 days before not using it. It's a bit of a gimmick.

  The pro 2000 is slightly better than the pro 1000 as it has about 14 days of battery life compared to 5 days for the pro 1000. So this is worth the upgrade if you plan to travel for longer than a few days and don't want to bring a charger.

  The pro 3000 is basically the same as the pro 2000, but it's slightly slimmer and has an extra speed mode, not really worth the upgrade from the pro 2000.
