Hello fellow Ozbargainers. As some of you may know, from today NSW road rules changed so that you can't even touch your mobile phone when driving to answer a call, but you can if you have it "secured in a fixed mounting".
Does anyone know where you can get a cheap mounting for an iPhone 4?
The cheapest mounts you can find are on eBay, problem is they are usually terrible and either fall apart within days or they just don't hold your phone.
I have this one for my iPhone4, sticks to your windscreen and will securely hold your iPhone. Used it mostly for watching vids on long road trips to the snow.
I picked mine up from BigW for a reasonable price.

That's more or less correct. You can't even hold it even if not answering a call, except to hand it to a passenger.
I have to say this is long overdue. I don't care to share the road with distracted drivers yakking away while driving.

This has been one of my favorite eBay purchases.
Contrary to Closer's post, it's lasted for 3 months so far, with daily use, and I don't see why it would fail any time soon.
The clamp is spring loaded, and the button on the side extends the arms automatically, arms have foam on them so it holds your phone in place without scratching it.
Only issue is sometimes I accidentally bump it from the bottom, which knocks the holder off the mount, rather easy to put back on, and only happens when reaching into the passenger glovebox or something.
3 paragraph review on a $4 ebay car mount, my life is complete.
