  • No thanks I will buy from jb

      No thanks, it's 30fps below!

  • is there a collectors edition? I am trying to get into the habbit of just getting collectors edition of new games because they seem to be worth more over time.

    • Sadly Dragon's Dogma 2 doesn't come with any special edition :(

      • There's a deluxe digital edition.

        But nothing for Oceania.

Could bet there's something for the Japanese market because that game is massive in Japan

More? Eh… Occasionally. Like anything you need to know what you're buying. Most of the time they drop and are hard to sell I would have thought

There's a large portion of games in that list that don't qualify anymore.

There were a lot of the $28 games at EB that had trade-in values of $10 or more but have been reduced to $9 or less.

Most people will possibly be safe by trading a game that EB is selling it for $34 or more.

    • Do you know if any of the current 2 for $30 games at JB still qualify? Dying Light 2, Wild Hearts, Immortals of Aveum specifically.

      • +2

The Following games qualify if you find them in stock (2x$30):
        - Lord of the Rings: Gollum
        - Steelrising
        - Demon Turf
        - Monster Energy Supercross 5
        - Dying Light 2
        - Wild Hearts
        - Saints Row
        - Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission
        - Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch

Not part of the 2x$30 promotion but cheaper:
        - Mount & Blade II $10
        - The King of Fighters XV $10

      • 2 x Immortals of Aveum worth $78 with level 4 at EB. Better to use as credit, not for trade.

        • Immortals and willd hearts are no longer in the 2x30 deal

        • That's can't be right, I can rang up today about Aveum and the base trade in for that is $22, $26.40 at level 4.

          • @Dunan: EB could drop it. I bought 2 on day 1 and used to offset my rebirth deluxe edition. Receipt did show $78 credit.

            • @kendo: I guess that's what happened, in the end because of that I ended up doing the trade in deal for Dragon's Dogma 2.

Doesn't feel like a deal when it's still $50. That ridiculous $120rrp and the fact EB sells at RRP…

If you're not in a hurry you're better off waiting for a price drop. If you need (lol) it now and have trade fodder, sure

    • Good point, it used to be $29 with 2 games. With so many games in the backlog, it makes sense to wait.

  • I feel like this is such a bad deal. Games are pretty easy to sell on FB Marketplace, can easily get 40-50 for most games.

  • +6

This trade 2 selected games and still pay $50 garbage has got to rank as one of the worst deals of all time. Even for EB Games, the absolute kings of ripping off customers.

30 FPS target on PS5 and Series X. I suggest everyone hold out for a demo or reviews regardless of platform of choice.

    • Damn they must've really hit the wall in shading and AA effects.

The og dogma would chug a bit at night on switch and with L2/3 spells, but PS4/5 it was pretty much the same as PC.

Would be sad if 30fps is the limit. Really looking forward to this game

      • Yeah, I am hoping that REengine PC performance holds up with this one. Odds should be pretty good on that, but the character creator app kicks my fans up to high: so I am a bit leery right now particularly with the double dose of DRM slated for the release.

  • Is this like Monster Hunter?

No it's much more story driven, it's kind of a single player team based MMO, but with great story element's and interaction with other players similar to dark souls (you can share/hire player made characters for your team).

You could also play solo builds, but the ai in the original was actually pretty amazing and would find items, cast useful spells, and heal etc
