I don't think it's a deal unless you can beat that.

    • I'm not sure, but this looks like the Aussie version.

      • Yep. This is the Aussie version. OzGamesShop is imported stock.

yeah id pay the extra $3 to get the game in under six weeks from the release date

    • We aim for release date delivery on all our products (if ordered before the close-off date.) :)

You guys also do a Vita PS3 bundle for $110?
I'm pretty sure you get a free copy of the Vita to download with the PS3 version…

    • I've been trying to verify this and have been told that the free Vita version is only on the PSN store version of the game. I cannot confirm whether this is the case if you purchase the retail PS3 version. We'd be happy to offer a refund for the Vita version (unopened of course) if it turns out the retail PS3 version does give you a free Vita version.

  • If you have an US account set up on your Vita or don't mind switching regions for the online modes. (online pass) it's US$43.95 shipped. https://www.estarland.com/PSVITA.cat..product.40592.html

Best to buy a cheap PS3 copy and get the Vita game free.

I can't confirm whether Australian retail PS3 copies get the Vita copy for free at this point in time. I've gotten mixed responses (yes, no, only if you get the PSN PS3 copy in Aus). If anyone has any links, etc. it would be appreciated.

In my professional capacity as a journalist I've also gotten in touch with Sony to find out what the case is. :)

  • dont think the lack of interest in this reflects the quality of the deal. It's a great price for a locally sourced copy. Think it's more the interest in the Vita/this game. How you can beat JB with their buying power is beyond me.

      Thanks for the comment.

It's quite simple, really: JB can afford to lower their prices if they wanted to, but they don't. Why? Because they don't need to. People will still buy the product and in any case the majority of their profits don't come from games.

We don't really care about our bottom line in that regard. If we make just $5 in a month we're happy because we're at the very least competition, and that's always a good thing.

If you've any more questions, please throw them at me! :)

      • Sure.

Heres a question for you as a videogames journalist… Why does Sony not make more memorable characters to make this worth playing.

It doesn't bother me the fact that they are copying super smash brothers as an idea, If we only had 1 racing game, 1 fps, 1 puzzle game, 1 strategy game, 1 arcade fighter, 1 all stars fighter, gaming would be pretty bland. I think the amount of disinterest in this game is brought on by the fact that most of the characters are second tier video game mascots, or not Sony exclusives.

Why would you bother with this when you can just play MUGEN for free instead?
