Noticed these were on clearance at JB Hi-Fi World Square (ticketed at $514, guy said he'd do $500). Called Chatswood and they said they would sell it for $500 as well. Picked it up tonight - although it was still advertised at the normal price of $698.

Good work, when I asked about the i7 they just said there was no stock left, I reckon they must have been asked quite a bit as they didn't check.
For the i5 World Square said they had 1 left (not including the one on display). Chatswood said they had 6 left.
Yeah, they told me they didn't find stock after they were fiddling around with their PDA. I had to make an effort and call every JB HiFi store in QLD. Bundaberg was the only store that had stock and they seemed to have plenty according to the guy I spoke on the phone.
I would have bought the i5 version if there wasn't any i7's left, still a bargain
i bought the i7 one 2 weeks ago for $573. Very satisfied with the laptop and better than the HP that i have before which overheats a lot.

A relative bought the top of the line i7, 2Gb gfx version. Very happy with it. Solidly built without a flexing keyboard during typing. LCD quality could be better though. Not an IPS display.

The screen looks average on this series of laptop, turned me off considering the NP350V5C-S02AU model. My 4 year old Asus looks better than it.
