Viva Macau - Sydney to Macau from $292 one-way - only 8000 seats left

100

Valid for flights form 1st of Feb to 21st of June 2009.

A great way to get into Asia, with easy access to Hong Kong and China. I tend to stop in Macau for a day and then take the ferry to HK. Cheapest way to get to HK!

  • Not a bad deal, but not as good as the $109/$99 plus taxes they had earlier (I just got back from that trip last week - cost $500 per person inc taxes return all up) - Macau is starting to look like Vegas, definitely worth a visit if you haven't been in the past 3-4 years and only 1 hour ($50 AUD) on the ferry to Hong Kong!

Also not that i'm complaining (probably didn't read the fine print) but remember to bring your own food and drink on the plane because you don't get any (even on a 9.25 hour flight) - they do sell meals but they taste awful (and cost $12 a serve), for those who like instant noodles - no problems, they have about 10 different varieties of those on the menu at reasonable prices !!

  • How did you get it so cheap, I used the cheapest and I got…
    Outbound Flight # ZG9500

    AUD AUD
    Fare 1x $125.00 $125.00
    Tax $166.63
    Sub Total $291.63

    Inbound Flight # ZG9501

    AUD AUD
    Fare 1x $125.00 $125.00
    Tax $140.35
    Sub Total $265.35

    Total

    Fares + Taxes Total $556.98

    Not worthwhile.

    • Well the title does say "$292 one-way" ??

  • Good deal. They seem to pop up a lot on Viva Macau. If you're ever going to book with them its best to book early but keep an eye out on the flights as I have seen fares go up and down and up and down, even when not on sale. Haven't flown with them yet - waiting for another sale valid July.

I was looking at Viva Macau on a different forum and people were questioning the financial viability of the airline - so I would definitely recommend travel insurance!
