Website/App to Buy US Stocks

Hi looking to invest in some US shares and wondering what the best option is at the moment, googling has come up with interactive brokers/cmc but not sure if they're the best for my use case.

I'm probably going to invest $500 here and there. I heard IB have an inactivity fee and also minimum trade amount. Was considering CMC/Stake and Superhero saw there were newcomers like Moomoo/Webull.
Also I've signed up to moomoo/webull already but if there are any apps/websites that do it and have a good sign up offer that'd be great.

Thanks

CMC has minimum $1k trade amount

I'd throw $100 pw into an ETF. Whatever tickles your fancy. Don't have to even look at it. My 3yo is up 30% ($100 a month) in global all share index where as the adults are doing much worse.

I believe IB got rid of the minimum balance and inactivity fee. They definitely used to but the pricing page now shows as $0 and from my experience I've had an account sitting with ~$5 in it without issue for several years.

Stake web interface and app are clean and easy to use if that's important to you. IB interface is very powerful but also somewhat of a learning curve.

If you want something simple and aren't actively trading, you could look at Pearler. They've got a bit of a different take focusing on making it simple to do recurring investments rather than actively trading.

  • Stake is on the expensive side but in my experience the most fully-featured and simple to use mobile app for regular trading.

But for ETFs I'd probably go CMC as they are CHESS-sponsored, Superhero is not.

Moomoo UI and UX is fkn horrible.
