I have Airpods 2 and 3 (non-pro) and even though the 3's have better controls (more customizable) and tech (special audio), I find myself using the 2's more.

Agreed. That's why I am tempted to buy these again.
Hate having to grop the pro's to do button presses, as I can't do that with gloves. And the transparent external sound is excellent for more casual situations for me, without wasting battery on transparency mode.
Can I ask which is the better fit for someone with small ear canals, looking to buy Airpods for a smaller human ;)

I'd rather buy from Costco so I can take them back when the batteries die. Already done this once before.
How long did it take for your batteries to die? Moderate usage over 4 years and they still hold their charge for ~3 1/2 hrs or so for me.
I had a set where one side would work for less than 30mins after about 2 years. Was annoying when doing online meetings. Maybe it was faulty. Costco gave me my money back and I got a new pair.

You can connect AirPods to any device that has Bluetooth but you should know that there are some Apple only features that you will miss out on if you connect AirPods to Android.
