[Melb] Car servicing

Hi all,

I've tried to search for "car service/ing" and have found nothing that is useful to me.
I'd like to ask if anyone knows a good car servicing centre in Melbourne, preferably in the south eastern suburbs.
Not necessarily have to be the cheapest but quality vs price, best bang for buck I guess.

I've an Audi A4 2002 model, looking for a major service.
Thank you for reading.

  • not se, but http://www.prestigecar.com.au in hawthorn

  • You can try James at http://www.audvolks.com.au/

Based in Clayton South, good and honest guy. Give him a try.

Owned Audi previously and always service with him, reasonable price depending on what need to be fixed.

    • I have used James a bit, and while I agree with your comments I also find him to be over worked, so timeliness and communication suffers.

  • I have been very happy with Dandenong Ultratune. Friendly, helpful and reasonable prices.

  • Thanks a lot fellas. Will look into these suggestions.
@quicksion, when you say reasonable price, how much are we talking about generally for a full service?
@Bruce, same question for you mate, if we're talking about Audi's @ ultratune.

Again, I might ask, would you go back to said place? Another words, were you satisfied with the servicing of the car itself as well as getting what you paid for?

    Thanks again.

    • I just paid $245 for a 130 000 K service on my AWD Volvo (I don't have the Audi any more).

Dandenong Ultratune have also done work on my Audi and I was very happy with the work, the communication and the price. They let you know if they notice anything that should/could be done, but there was no pressure to do so, the information was just provided as an option.

I remember when I got the bushes done on my Audi they charged less than the original quote because the parts ended up being cheaper than expected.

  • Any good service centers for north/west Melbourne? Close to cbd.
