Renewing Microsoft 365 Family

As I understand, there's a bit of a hack when renewing MS365 Family in that if I renew using Personal first (at a cheap price) and then apply a Family renewal last, the entire MS365 account will be Family for the full number of years the subscription is for.

I'm curious to know if this causes issues the other 5 users after the first personal renewal?

Asking as my wife relies on one of those user accounts for studies and not being able to update her assignments will be the end of me.

Don't [profanity] around with the account to save a few dollars. Just not worth the potential fatal consequences.

Pick your battles. This isn't one of them.

    Thought for the day:
How do you remember your wedding anniversary date?
    Forget it once.

    • I'll let you know if it worked for my wife… remembering the wedding anniversary that is. She forgot last year so we'll see if she remembers this year.

I'll forget days of cultural significance… might be a sign I'm not very cultured -lol

But birthdays, anniversaries, bill due dates and subscription renewal dates I'm usually on top of.

Just give it a go, and post back…

    It doesn't work like that.

Maybe just don't renew it at all and save money. Then when your wife can't do her assignments, she can sort it out. Problem solved.

  • Try a major retailler, and haggle.

  • use 15% jbhifi GC save some money there

  • For her studies? If she has a student email account, it most likely already comes with the Microsoft Office suite for free.
