Mac mini if on a budget, iMac if you want a cool looking thing in your room with a good monitor built into it.

Mac mini needs an external speaker setup (my preference), iMac has built-in speakers which you should audition to see if you're ok with them.

You have provided zero context of your wants/needs out of either system. How are you expecting people to evaluate a potential suggestion? There's no shortage of reviews and videos on both devices to make an informed personal decision.

  • Do you know a good place to buy some tiles?

  • Send me msg in private i might be able to help you on that

If you want semi portability - being able to take the Mac mini and cables with you to another place/country to use with a different monitor, go with the mini.
If you want even more portability, obviously a Macbook.
If you haven’t got a display and don’t want to research for a byo, go with the imac.

  • Why dont you go into JB and have a look at what suits your needs ?

I was a long time iMac user until I switched to Mac Mini + monitor 5 years ago. Really it's so much more convenient. The Minis with the M chip are just great, I upgraded my Mini a couple of months ago to take advantage of the Education Store deal. Sold my old Mini overnight on eBay, packed it up and posted. Have an issue that needs sorting at the Genius Bar? So easy to take the Mini in. Monitors generally don't need replacing as regularly as computer. You can buy any old monitor, but I bought a second hand Mac display for $400. Very happy with the set up.

    • Thanks bro. I decided to go with Mac mini🤞
