Problem with Two Factor Log in at Amazon

Since last Wednesday I've been having issues logging into my account at amazon.com.au - the OTP code for two factor log in is either not being sent or I am not receiving it.

Does anyone know how to contact Amazon support when the customer cannot log in?

PS: Yes, I'm keeping an eye on the linked credit card.

  • Whenever you get it fixed, make sure to use a 2FA app in future rather than SMS.

  • Have you tried use authenticator, it's the same Google authenticator.

  • The only option I get is to have Amazon send the second factor OTP to my phone by text or voice, which never happens. I am effectively locked out.

    I also noticed that email promos and order confirmation emails have not arrived either.

    It's a worry….

    Thanks for the responses, people. After a considerable amount of time on the phone dealing with Amazon Tech Support people I found extremely difficult to understand, the OTP codes are working again.

    The worry now is a parcel delivery confirmation email arrived today yet there should not have been an order in the system….

    Technology is great, when it works. When it doesn't, it grates.

    Whoa…… a whole bunch of OTP codes arrived on my phone just now. Clearly someone has released the hounds.
