Notice Franklins is now IGA? Spotted some 50% off deals this week: V drinks, Palmolive 750Ml, Dynamo Stainlift 2L. Plus 45% off Vittoria (2kg for $30) but the Harris Farm 2x 500G for $14.98 was a fresher deal (if you like Vittoria beans). Just FYI, biggest savings from this week's catalogue (NSW):

    There are worse. The biggest difficulty I think is in finding it fresh. They told me when I asked that their beans have a 2 year shelf life, and it's hard to find it with much more than a few months of that left.

      The Vittoria 500g beans I mentioned in the Harris Farm deal had a 110913 expiry date, from memory.
      I'll try to give an update on the expiry date for the beans at my local IGA, tonight.

      The 'Vittoria make terrible coffee' comment isn't useful unless it's in comparison to something else. I find it's the best mainstream brand at supermarkets, if it's relatively fresh.

      In my supermarket bean-shopper experience, Vittoria is similar in quality, in my experience and machine, equal in taste to the Harris premium beans (not much better nor much worse). Vittoria/Harris > Lavazza > Woolworths brand (blech).

      So it's good for 'old beans' but roasted-to-order beans are going to make a much tastier coffee.

      Expiry date on the Vittoria 1kg beans was 14.9.13 at my local IGA today.
      The bogof offer wasn't advertised with a tag, so there was plenty of stock.

      However Harris Farm may still have stock of the 2x 500g at $14.98. Similar expiry date of 11.9.13.
