Looking to purchase a 2nd hand Lazy Maisons Sit Stand Desk.
I went on their website to check their warranty but the page is empty, and when I checked the location of their business, it's saying temporarily closed.
Have they gone out of business?
Do I even need to consider warranty if I'm purchasing this 2nd hand?
If you're buying it privately (i.e. gumtree) then I wouldn't expect anything. It becomes hard to prove how old it is, whether it's defective due to something done to it, etc.
If you're buying it from a store, then they need to supply you a reasonable warranty period, but that means it's on them to solve the problem. On a second hand desk though, depending on the age and how much you're paying it's hard to expect a long warranty. Desks are pretty simple things, if it works properly now it's likely to survive the few months you could expect a warranty period on a second hand desk to last.
