Product Review 1.4 stars. Dead on arrival TVs, incorrect models, damaged items, customer service doesn't help, etc.

doesn't sound much like an electronics store

Neg is a warning. Someone just bought one 😢

    • Fair call.

If you are in Melb., visit the store & ask to inspect the TV-BOX:
      1.make sure ALL-seals are original & UN-open,
2.box is perfect & not damage in-any way (eg box-dropped),
3.'TCL Mini LED 4K 144Hz' printed on the box,
4.manufacture-label are present & clearly show model # 85C845 etc.

You then take that SAME TV-BOX home.

Btw, we are in YEARLY TV-clearance period: Mar-Jun: TCL & others are clearing 2023 stock to make room for 2024 stock etc.

I'm getting $1899.45 with "MARSAVE" (could be Ebay Plus), but…"Local pickup only from braeside, Australia."

I have been watching this seller, since I'm interested in getting this model. However, I've noticed that the seller also lists refurbs. Judging from the seller reviews, the seller may be listing 'new' tvs, but sending 'refurbs'. Proceed with caution.

6 negative reviews the past month for what appears to be shipping broken or refurb tvs.

    Review:
"If I can I give him "0". Fake ad offering QLED and delivered UHD TV. Ad was a new one but first was delivered to TCL service at Alice Springs. It appeared that was refurbished. Avoided to answer three times about the concerns of mine, claiming that I have been delivered the better TV than was advertised????? What a scam. After I disputed the issue with ebay seller promptly removed the add replacing with the one which was delivered to me. The box was damaged or was reused after the TV was fixed?"

    • Hmm certainly looks like false advertising. Advertising as new sending refurbs.

The first review I came across isn't very convincing..

"TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN FROM SELLER

This product is advertised as an 65C815 however you wont recieve this item as it comes packaged as an 65C727 model. DONT USE FALSE ADVERTISMENT AGAINST PEOPLE OR UPDATE YOUR SPECS. When the TV arrived the whole screen was cracked, packaging was damaged and missing styrofoam on an edge of the tv. Trying to return the tv but seller is an liar and gaslighter, didnt organise an delivery driver, blamed me for 'wasting her money'. DO NOT BUY"

The infamous Samsung eBay mysteriously rose from 70% to 90% if that helps to understand anything about ebay ratings.

      • That’s because they have changed couriers while transitioning. They were on a down hill slope late last year and tables have turned when a new system is in place

        • 'factorydirect-au' ebay-seller: feel free to provide details to support your comments…should help potential-buyers to make an informed decision.

Ebay allows big-sellers to REMOVE negative feedback !

In 2018, I bought a 'refurbished' TV from SONY-au: KD-55X7000E. I received a SONY-tv with a vertical line. My negative feedback was REMOVED. Doubters are free to contact me for proof.

        • Had the same experience (different seller). Not even sure they need to be "big" sellers.

I am not sold. will let it pass.

Not brave enough to take a chance.

  • If only this could be priced matched somehow

  • For $1900 I'd pick it up myself and take the risk.

I bought a microwave from this mob during covid. Turned out to be refurb with power issues. No indication on listing.

  • How come ebay is allowing this? Why did not close seller's account

They advertise the 75 Inch and 85 Inch $100 apart when it comes to selling it with free postage

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/225952853868 - 75" $1,999.95
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/226064261271 - 85" $2,099.95

    • I think the ebay fee they add.
The actual price they sell in store
      75" $1500
      85" $2000

  • Can’t retract my vote

I wouldn’t go near this poor excuse for a retailer. There are reports of people receiving a completely different product to what they ordered.

  • awesome TV tho

  • i bought the 65" posted some time ago, TV in perfect condition no issues.

    Im been in the store.
They can be dodgy with the price (each staff giving the different prices for same fridge), all their fridge are refurbished, not new or even ex-demo.
Better go buy in store so you can check the item and nego. (What you see is what you get)

Box isn't new like the ones you get JB or tgg. Appears to be open box which could mean either the tv has been used for an event or whatever the reason. They do tell you it's brand new and they open box to "check". However way you interpret what that "brand new" means.

  • Their stock is used. Just bought a TV and they got really salty when I called them out on this. Even the remote had old batteries in it and the screen had no plastic protection in it but they are still insisting it's new. AVOID!
