excuse the dumb question. what is different in ps5 version of gta v? is the gameplay look and feel drastically improved? like spiderman vs spiderman 2

      • Higher resolution graphics
      • 60 FPS mode
      • Ray-traced shadows mode
      • Significantly faster loading times
      • Some exclusive content
      • Haptic feedback
      • Adaptive triggers
      • 3D Audio

There's also an added first-person view, with the addition of depth of field, motion blur, and an Aim Down Sights (ADS) system when firing weapons. Not sure if the PS4 version got that in an update too though.

3-2001. VC-2002. Gap year of 2003 but then SA and GBA in '04. LCS in 05, VCS in 06, gap year again, 2008 had GTA4, '09 had Chinatown Wars, the 4DLC was released in 09/10ish. Not to mention filling in gap years with ports/rereleases, ala LCS to PS2 in 06, VCS to PS2 in 07, GTA4DLC to PS3/PC a while later, etc. Then finally GTA 5 in 2013. So in 12 years you had 9 original releases, not counting portjobs and re-releases. If you did, then the 10th anniversaries of 3 and VC were pretty slick too, and so on.

And in the 12 years between GTA 5 (2013) and GTA 6 (2025 if it's not delayed) we've had … um. The introduction of GTA+

Edit: Somewhere in there, they made the older DOS GTA1 and 2 run on newer Windows, and released them for free to download from their website too. Gone now, but that was pretty cool for those with low spec shitty $50 Aldi laptops like myself.

      • I don't want to believe VC was released in 2002. It makes feel so old. lol

Vice was set in 86 (I think, give or take a year) … which means there was 16 years between that setting, and when the game released, to build up a lifetime of nostalgia and iconography and all that good stuff.

We are now on our 6th year past the mark that we got 16 years away from Vice City. The gap between the actual 80s and Vice City, is a good deal less than the gap between Vice City and now.

          Noooow you feel old.

      • if we look at rockstar new gen releases meaning iv and onwards, we had one every 5 years, so gta iv 2008, gta v 2013, rdr2 2018. nd for Vi they were due in 2023 for but they will use that bullshit covid excuse, ok so 2 years on top, meaning we will get it in 2025.

        • Wow, cop that, Max Payne 3, Midnight Club 4, Table Tennis, and I guess LA Noire.

          • @TheDukeOfNukem: i meant in the open world genre, i forgot to mention that, non of the above are open world

            • @Roe Jogan: MC4 is, LA Noire kiiiinda is.

But I know what you mean bruv.

              • @TheDukeOfNukem: lol LA noire is not open world, and midnight club is only a racing game, like need for speed.

                • @Roe Jogan: It's got a world you're open to explore for the most part. I know I killed many an hour screwing around with the switch port in free roam.

Midnight Club is racing, sure, but just like every entry in the series, it's an open world one at that.
