  • Best bottle without a doubt!

After buying a Zojiurshi, I'll never go back to buying other brands. Mine lasted years, whilst the wife random branded ones seem to be leaking, breaking all the time.

It depends what features you need. Zojis are the best for keeping stuff cold / hot, and build quality. They also work with cold and hot. But their water bottle doesn't have a straw like Owala, which some may want.

Owala is the only one with a lid that lets you chug from a larger hole and sip from a straw. You could argue the Stanley type tumblers do, but their straw protrudes and they leak a bit, if you're looking to chuck it in your bag.

Hydroflask has a straw, but if you want to chug you need to unscrew the whole lid. With Owala, the chug hole is built into the top like the CamelBak Chute.

Owala also looks very distinct. The Forresty green was also this price during their Big Smile sale.

Personally I went with CamelBak as I find the silicone bite valve resists bacteria much better than plastic, and I also wanted something that could handle warm to hot liquids

Ordered the 32oz on the last deal more than 1 week ago, and it still hasn't even been dispatched!

    • +2

will be delivered on time though Amazon is great

    • +1

      Mine came in 3 days

  • +1

Waiting on a deal for 24oz, the others are just a bit too big to carry around for my liking

  • ThankS OP, got one

  • What's the biggest I can go on one of these and still have it fit in the car drink holders?

      • Those adaptors (you can just use a PVC reducer) put the weight higher, making it more likely to topple or get knocked over. And they are useless for door cup holders.

    • 24oz

  • Interestingly the Amazon listing says these Owala's are double walled… But the Owala website says they are triple walled.

  • Any insulated stainless steel bottle that is dishwasher safe?

You have to be a basket case to pay for a reusable bottle for more than $15.

  • any idea why these are "Not for use with hot liquids"?

    • Usually because of the straw.

      • I replaced mine with metal straw, but haven't tried hot beverage yet, but I still doubt I guess the lid is plastic and silicon may effect it? Im not sure.
        Diameter of straw: 10cm (outside)

  • Does anyone have one of these on hand to measure the opening? (want to know if my large ice will fit in!)

I believe the 32oz and 40oz are the same width, this is just taller?

    • +1

Mine is arriving today, I'll let you know

        cheers mate!

      • From kampret in the older deal: "Opening of the lid is 6.5cm (diameter)"

        • +1

Got 24oz, it's also the same 6.5cm. I can directly use fridge ice dispencer without having to spill ice.
Also replaced my straw with metal one. Diameter of straw: 10cm (outside)

Price increased again (to $43.55), but with 5% (2 qualifying items) & 10% (3 qualifying items) stacking, worked out to be $37-something still. Cheers!
