[Feedback Required] SaaS Product - Repify

Hey Ozbargainers,

Hope you're all doing great!

I've been working on a SaaS project named Repify for the past few weeks. It's now at the MVP stage, and I'm on the lookout for some beta testers who can offer honest feedback.

Repify is designed as a reputation management tool tailored for service-oriented businesses. Its primary goal is to streamline the process of gathering positive Google reviews from clients. At this point, the MVP primarily supports review prompts via email, but there's a lot more on the horizon, including SMS capabilities, Google OAuth, and support for other platforms i.e. Facebook etc.

Looking forward to your invaluable feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Ayush

PS: If you would like to be apart of beta testing (free), please submit your email in the waitlist form and I'll get back to you.

Online product reviews are (IMHO) getting less valuable every year thanks to paid, encouraged or fake reviews. I take them with a grain of salt.

    • Thanks for the input, I do agree with your statement on product-based reviews as they are tremendously saturated however there is still an importance factor for a business owner. I.e. a potential customer looking for electricians near them will look at their google reviews as well as previous work/website etc and formulate their own conclusion.

Went to a mechanic the other day - based on a huge number of positive Google reviews.

        Service was good
        Price was good

Middle of the invoice, there’s a note in bold:
“Drop us a google review and show us next time for a $20 discount”

So torn about going back - that little note destroyed my trust in them, despite having a great experience otherwise

        • I agree with your point; offering incentives for reviews can indeed introduce bias. However, Repify takes a different approach. We don't incentivize reviews. Instead, we gently nudge clients, reminding them to share their experiences on Google.

          • @ayushlal: Does Shopify have this nudge feature built in? I seem to purchase from a lot of Shopify based sites and get these annoying reminders.

            • @Muzeeb: Im sure Shopify has a feature like that although most serviced based businesses aren't using an ecommerce platform to build their website.

          I respectively disagree
Yes they are incentivising reviews BUT Service and price were good so why not?
If they were terrible, then you would not want to leave a review or go back and use the $20 discount
This is just like a coffee card or loyalty points and is quite transparent - it is just motivating people to leave a genuine review
          Completely fair IMO

          • @Noblejoker: I respectfully disagree.

Mechanics are (supposed to be) trusted specialists in their field. There are reportedly many who do a substandard job or overcharge for work that hasn’t been completed - things I wouldn’t necessarily know about.

My uneducated opinion on the quality/trustworthiness of their work has been brought into question by their untrustworthy (incentives not disclosed) actions around reviews.

Not to mention some of these mobs just playing the DEFAMATION card now when a customer leaves a bad review lol

If you aren’t charging enterprise fees (over $1000/mth) you need to show your pricing.
I’m assuming this is a $10/mth service you want to sell thousands of, not a heavily customized bespoke service for big business.

    • Thanks for the response! Yes correct, Repify is mostly intended for small businesses. I haven't thought about a pricing model yet, but more just wanted to get people using the product first.

  • How does this compare with the commercial competition?
