When sold out they will be out if date - true story.
Medjool dates are the best (from those being sold locally) and are usually around $20.
These are not as good (to put it mildly), and will be on half-price clearance soon.

I used to buy good quality iranian dates from a health food shop for $7 a kg. Sold to me by a lovely middle eastern lady. Man those were the days.
I remember when I could get raw local honey and sesame seeds cheap at the health food store and ate a heap of both.
