It won't have AU plug. If you use an adaptor it may melt as it is quite powerful.

    • Good point. I didn't think of that.

      • Get it only if you plan to replace the cord.

    • is it really not possible to just use a travel adapter?

      • It is possible, but it is awkward as it may come out and it will get really warm (if you are lucky otherwise will just melt the plastic) most of the travel adapters are not intended for high power devices like kettles or hair driers.

bought one in Italy more than 20 years ago. Still running every day and never had a problem with it

  • Used to own a 3800 series, costed around the $300 mark at the time, a great performer and a late top of the range but after a couple of years use, sparks can be seen from switching modes on the hair dryer. Contacted Parlux on three occasions across two months via email to have the matter documented. Tried calling but wait times were extended and couldn't get through. No one ever came back probably because they don't sell that model anymore, despite it being a potential safety issue which was odd. The dysons were my next go to for my partner's use, got one of those and never looked back. Couples years in and still going strong touch wood.

Not saying every Parlux would be like that but for my case, not worth risking a fire, besides customer support absenteeism.
