Someone please teach me. 👏

  • Coaching question 1. What kind of payment method might you need to accomplish this?

Been paying ATO and SRO bills with BPAY via ZIP.

Qantas CC is linked to ZIP. Points are accumulated when paying ZIP balance.

There are a few limitations though - plenty of info in other posts about this same issue.

I hadn't seen this method before, so curious. Based on some quick Googling, is it just that zip restricts it to $1k per transaction? Or is there something more than that?

      • Correct in that it's $1000 per transaction, or up to $1500 is your zip account allows.

I simply immediately pay the zip debt via credit card and perform a second, third, fourth, etc bpay transaction.

You'll likely be flagged by zip the first time you perform consecutive payments for security, but upon demonstrating that they're your transactions then the account is unlocked.

    • I don't know if this works. I used the Zip Pay / Zip Bill feature to pay the ATO a $15k debt and like you mentioned had to do this in installments and my account got locked out.

When I called them they unlocked my account and said that you get no FF points via the bpay feature, so may have been locked down now. Wish i knew this earlier.

      • The bpay transaction doesnt give FF. Paying off the zip balance with an applicable CC is where the points come from.

My points have gone up quite a lot since doing this method.

It seems if you do the same zip bpay amount in rapid succession, then it gsts flagged.

        So I now do for example, $500, $1000, $400, $600.

Yes its 4 transactions but they get through.

I just that a few days apart too.

        • Ahhh thats where i stuffed up. I paid the ZIP balance with a card not linked to FF. What a shame…
