Sony CMT-FX200 - 'PROTECT' Flashing on Display

Hi. When powering on at mains, 'PROTECT' flashes on the display. I've disconnected the speakers as some articles have suggested, however still experiencing the same fault.

Have taken the cover off, all boards are in good condition. Doesn't appear to be any bulging/leaking caps, blown resistors or water damage.
I've also disconnected the CD mechanism in case that was causing the fault.
Any advice on what could be the fault or areas to check is appreciated.
System lives in a shed, hence the reason I'd like to fix it & not purchase a brand new one.
I have a basic multimeter & intermediate soldering skills.

    System lives in a shed

    Temperature and humidity variations are huge in an uninsulated shed and not good for electronics.

      The system lives in a shed, I on the other hand do not!
