  • Any option to buy the decaf now for when it comes back in stock?

    • +2

Great question funk44 - It's likely we will have a sale with it when it's back. Just keep an eye on email promos - Hope that's ok ands apologies for the inconvenience.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Unless my memory is failing me, I had checked the website yesterday and saw decaf in stock, as I had just ran out of it and was looking to stock up. It’s now put on special a day later but suddenly no stock :(

    • Back in about 2 weeks afayd - sorry for the bad timing for you.

      Cheers

      Dan

  • Which would you recommend for Coffee Latte made in Moka pot?

    • Hi Mikelele and thanks for asking - I would go for the Enterprise or Saratoga Blend.
My go to when camping with a Moka Pot is the Enterprise.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • What grind would you recommend for a Moka pot? stovetop?

    • Hey there setekh - you can choose "Stovetop Grind" when choosing your coffee.
Please let me know if you need a hand to find that but it should be easy to spot.

      Cheers

Have you thought about diversifying into roast chickens and comedy roasts?

  • Hi, im normally a fortitude valley roasters guys what is comparable in your range to this

    ROAST: Omni

    COMPONENTS:
    Colombian Planadas
    Indonesian Mandheling Fair Trade Organic

    Ugandan Sipi Falls Organic

    FLAVOUR: Grapefruit, Caramel, Raisin

    FRAGRANCE: Salted Caramel, Biscuit

    AROMA: Winey, Raisin, Prune

    ACIDITY: Medium Level

    BODY: Medium Level

    BALANCE: Well Balanced

    SWEETNESS: Caramel

AFTERTASTE: Slightly dry with a grapefruit tartness

    INSPIRATION: Alan Watts

    PROCESSING: Washed / Wet-hulled

    • Hey there memez and thanks for asking. It's always a little challenging to compare roasts from different roasters. Can you tell me how you are brewing and what you drink?
Then I can guide you a little better within our range.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Eureka coffee grinder, expobar leva as the machine.

I normally drink double shot latte with Australia's own Almond Milk. I like the nutty citris after taste and it's smooth not too bitter but i like to taste the coffee also. Boutique i guess.

        • Great - thanks memez - I would go with either Pegasus or Sumatra - Both different in their own way but citrus/berry notes with a good extraction common with both.

          I hope that helps.

Keen to hear what you go with and how it goes for you.

          Cheers
          Dan

  • For anyone wondering, the Pegasus blend has been great through an Aeropress as a daily cup - smooth with enough body and depth to be interesting but not overpowering. Strong recommend.

    • Thanks so much for sharing zfind - really appreciate it and super happy to hear you are enjoying the Pegasus.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • @zfind That is very good to know. Do you know how the Pegasus blend compares to Aldi's dark roast?

I'm sure I've bought the Pegasus blend before but I can't remember if I liked it.

      • +1

Funnily enough I bought a bag of Aldi dark roast after reading on here it was alright and I found it very strange tasting, had one cup and never had more. Pegasus is totally different and to me, leagues better.

        • Thanks for letting me know. I'll grab a Pegasus today and if it's not amazing you can refund me. ;p

          • +1

@Loopholio: Im sure you’ll enjoy! In the last AIRJO deal comments I posted my formula for delicious Pegasus brews through an Aeropress, might help.

  • Which blend will produce the sweetest/chocalatey notes in a milk based espresso cup?

I’ve tried the Saratoga and Thunderchild. They weren’t sweet enough to my palate, and I’ve fiddled around with different grind sizes, ratios, temps, time, etc. but maybe I just haven’t gotten it down right yet.

    • +1

Hey Fotato - I would try Pegasus next then and see if that's more to your liking - please let me know if that hots the spot.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • Hi Fotato, hope you can help - the Saratoga has flavour notes of berry and citrus. Did it taste fruity? I'm looking for no fruit notes - more nutty and sweet but still rich and strong taste.

  • +1

I reckon if I order a bag now it’ll arrive before the bag I ordered from Inglewood coffee roasters last thursday

  • Hey rep,

    What recommendation for Cold brew?

    • +1

Hey there MambaZone - if you are looking at the darker end of the scale i would try the Stargazer Blend.

I hope that helps and thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

Just a comment to say after ordering Airjo varieties for the last 18 months, I've finally tried the Enterprise at your recommendation Dan, and it's pretty great. Has its own unique flavour (I can't describe flavours for shit, so I won't try!) but my wife and I both enjoy it. I'll be ordering it again. Thanks :)

    • +1

Hey GenghisGun - thats so good to hear. I can't believe you went 18 months without trying it!! :)
So pleased you are both enjoying it and thanks so much for sharing.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • A question - how can you afford to sell beans at such rates when other roasters are selling their blends for 50, sometimes 60 per kilo bag?

    • +3

      Maybe they have huge mark-up?

  • Happy to give you guys a shot. I primarily drink macchiato or espresso from my coffee machine. I also grind fresh at home.

I like caramel, toffee, and malt flavours. I do not like fruity notes. What do you recommend for strong black coffees with the above undertones?

    • Hey there ninnypoop - really appreciate the opportunity - thank you.
I recommend the Enterprise Blend as a great place to start for you.

I hope that helps and thanks again.

      Cheers
      Dan

What is the end date of this deal?

    • Hey j1nx, this one ends on Monday.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks a lot Dan.

  • Hi OP, i am a heathen who likes their cappuccino with cow's milk and sugar, could you recommend something suitable for that? Cheers

    • +1

      Hello young heathen :)
Indeed the Enterprise Blend is for you - super confident you will enjoy it.

      Thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Any suggestions for a V60 pour over? preference is no milk and more fruity flavours

    • Hey there undien - thanks for asking - in that case I would recommend the Pegasus or Sumatra.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks for the reply, looking at the flavour profile I really can't tell the difference because they sound the same as you can interchange citrus with orange and coca with chocolate..(and the rest is the same)

How would you describe the difference between the two?

        • No problem unidien - the Sumatra would be a little fruitier for you in the V60

  • I'm new to coffee beans. Are these beans any better, apart from being fresh roasted, than the coffee beans in coles or wws especially when they are 50% off? Thanks

    • +1

Direct from roasters like this consistently provide higher quality beans and overall better blends. I'd recommend trying a bag considering the price and free shipping.

    • +1

I'm a coffee veteran and former barista, but not a coffee snob - I'll try anything once and I even drink instant decaf. I've tried at least 50 (and probably closer to 100) different beans from roasters all over Australia, using espresso machine, plunger, pourover, cold brew and moka pot.

I've tried almost all the Aldi beans over the years and quite a few of the Coles/WW beans and none of them have anywhere near as much flavour as beans from a specialty roaster. This is partly bean quality, but also because roasted beans lose flavour quite noticeably after about a month post-roasting, even if you are grinding them fresh each time you brew.

My preferred dealer is mycuppa.com.au, I usually get their monthly secret label because it lines up with my consumption of 1kg per month.

  • Hey Dan! I've recently been loving the ease of making 2L batches of cold brew in my Toddy. I've been surprised how good the room temp 24 hour extraction works - loads of fruity berry notes out of my current bean of choice (Ona's Raspberry Candy). I'd like to grab a couple of different bags from you - what would you recommend?

    • Hey there johnno07 - I would go the lighter end of the range with Pegasus and Sumatra.
Super keen to hear how they go for you.

I hope that helps and thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Had them in my cart awaiting your confirmation! Just bought. I tend to break my beans up into 1/3kg batches and freeze. Do you have a specific freeze date you've found optimal? Otherwise I'll do my normal ~3 weeks after roast date.

        • +1

Hey johnno07 - we don't actually recommend freezing but if you have a method that normally works for you I would stick with that - no reason I can think of that would change what you normally roll with.

          Cheers
          Dan

          • @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters: Appreciate the response! I'll just stick to my usual process as it seems to work pretty well on other beans :)

  • Hey Dan! What's the recommendation for a strong kick/strength in black coffee or with oat milk using a basic Delonghi coffee machine?

    • Hey there cisco! - I would recommend the Enterprise for you. It works really well with or without milk.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • just in time again guys :D was running low :D thanks again guys

    • That's great to hear kungfuman - thank you!

  • Hi Dan, just ordered a kg of Sumatra and Pegasus. Okay to vacuum seal and freeze upon arrival? Or would it be best to let them degas prior?

    • Hey there antik - thanks so much for your order. they will likely still be degassing for a few days after you get them.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

$33/kg for fresh roasted specialty coffee is a pretty good deal. Also your neg is invalid.

      • +3

        Especially for express shipping.

  • Hey Dan,
Which one do you recommend for lattes? We mainly have those in full cream milk.

    • Hey DeeArrow - thanks so much for asking. I would recommend the Enterprise Blend for you.
It's a great place to start in our range and it works well with milk.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks Dan. Just ordered a bag!
Does the 1kg come in resealable bags?

        • +1

Great stuff DeeArrow - thanks so much.
Yes the bag is indeed resealable.

  • Please recommend a nutty and sweet roast for v60 pourover. I like my coffee strong, not fruity. TIA!

    • Hey there SydneySurfer - I would recommend the Saratoga Blend for you.
Please let us know howe it goes for you. Super keen on all feedback.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks, however, the description on your site says the flavour notes include berry and citrus. Don't want to have to give away a 1 kg bag if it has fruit notes. Gave away a small bag of single origin fruity coffee and that was painful enough.

        • Didn't get a reply in time so ordered 1kg of the Saratoga. Thanks.

          • @SydneySurfer: Apologies SydneySurfer - I'm confident the Saratoga won't be too fruity for you.
Please do let me know and thanks for your order.

            Cheers Dan

            • @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters: No apologies necessary! Sorry, didn't mean to imply you should have replied in my time. Haha
Looking forward to trying your coffee! :)

  • when decaf is available, could you include it in the deal?

    • Hey baconIcecream - we will likely have a sale with it when it's back in stock yes.

I hope that helps and thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • I bought one for first time.

Hopefully they will beat st ali, industry beans, campos… or aldi beans.. jk

Cannot wait for the order to come lol

    • Hey thanks so much MANUTD1999 - Please do let us know how it goes for you.
We appreciate you giving us a try.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Ordered another bag great timing !!

    • Great to hear solidussnake!! - thanks so much.

  • Heya Dan,

Wondering if you had any reccomendations for someone who usually likes interesting single origin flavours? Usually with milk but sometimes just straight espresso.
I didn't mind the stargazer which was nice, sweet and chocolatey but didn't have many interesting notes (although never dissapointed).
Perhaps something in the medium or light roast would show more notes.

    Cheers

Deal over? Only seeing full prices…

  • trying to get a twilight blend but showing full price deal ends monday standard business hours ? Might have to settle for aldi beans now :(

  • Bummer! sale must be over. It says 87 for two 1kg bags of enterprise now. :/

  • Twilight blend arrived today. Very tasty!!

  • +3

Apologies guys. This deal was meant to show expired at 5pm. That was likely my mistake when setting up the deal.

Those above that tried before now to place an order please shoot me a pm and I will sort a code for you to purchase at the sale price.

    Apologies again.

    Cheers
    Dan

  • my 2 cents on this company they are legit. Dan is very helpful, though the particular coffee i received was not to my taste at no fault to the roaster they will work with you to find that taste. Although taste is subjective :) I would have love to pay for a sample pack of all the different coffee.
