Universal remote Help

So the kids lost the remote, it’s been a week and still can’t find it…can’t believe I’ve waited this long but I need a universal remote for dummies. Any suggestions? If it helps for a Samsung tv

    Search FB marketplace for a samsung remote, they're common. No need for universal, just someone's old remote is fine

    My Bose soundbar remote (bluetooth) works for my 2019 Samsung TV.

    Use google to get the remote # for the TV.
    Buy a Samsung remote as per the # google found for the TV from ebay.

    Can you get a remote app on your phone in the meantime? I know Sony have one which I use time to time.

      Samsung have a wifi app

      Gone are the days of the ir blaster, that was built in. :(

    Find the tv model, then find the remote model, then find a place to buy it from. Tip google.

    Or buy a universal remote

      The google search will provide a 'genuine' based on the model number of your tv. The replacement will work, but the keys may not. Be as good. I know from experience.

    The aliexpress $3 ones usually in the Choice section work fine with Samsung and my Hisense. I can never get one to work with my Bauhn though :(

    When you find it, which will be about 50 nanoseconds after you order a replacement - put an apple airtag on it.

      I've bought some trackers from Lazada for $2/3 and it works pretty well. Same one on Aliexpress for about $9. No more losing remotes

    The Kmart universal remote is fine, just in case you can't find one on eBay that suits.
