Does Anyone Have Any Budget Clothes Dryer Suggestions Please?

I’ve started looking for a clothes dryer as a gift for my mum because she had shoulder pain and is struggling to hang out her washing..
but every one I’ve found at a reasonable price seems to have some horrible one star reviews or needs installation etc.
I need one that doesn’t need installation or venting.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Budget - $500 and under
Thank you so much

      didnt want vented.

    • Thank you so much for the suggestion, but yeah I can’t do vented. It’s a shame cause that’s an amazing price!

  • The cheap dryer will cost more in electricity

    • Hmm yes that’s a good point. I ended up going for the 1st suggestion that came down to $550 delivered. I hope it’s not too bad on the power bill. It says 7 star energy rating so it sounds reasonable

The Esatto heat pump from Appliance Online would be my vote too. AOL are excellent to deal with, offer free delivery and installation. It will use less electricity than a vented dryer so your Mum will be more willing to use it regularly without worrying about the power bill. BTW lovely of you to do this for your Mum. Glad you got a good deal.

Phew I started panicking thinking you were going to say the drier was a terrible choice! I feel much more confident in my choice now! Thank you so much! This community is amazing!

  • Marketplace. People selling a dryer either have used it forever or hardly at all. Bought one 8 yrs ago for $200 on Scumtree, still going strong.

  • Good choice on the Essato heat pump. I have one and it barely features on the electricity bill.

  • I got this for $249

Only used it a few times, but does the job.
