    I found out years ago that the homemade version is cheap, smoother, and easier to create with. Also, it smells amazing and lasts for yonks in a ziplock or sealed container in the fridge. Quick & easy to make, too! I can't find my original recipe right now, but this is close:

    Ingredients

    591.47 ml flour, 118.29 ml salt, 2 (8 g) package unsweetened Kool-Aid powdered drink mix, 473.18 ml boiling water, 44.37 ml oil

    (2 1⁄2 cups flour 1⁄2 cup salt 2 (0.02 g) packages unsweetened Kool-Aid powdered drink mix 2 cups boiling water 3 tablespoons oil)

    Mix flour, salt, Kool-Aid until blended.
Add oil to boiling water, mix with spoon until cool enough to knead. (Be sure the water is boiling in order for it to all combine properly)
Continue kneading until color is blended.
Store in air tight bag or container in the refrigerator.

    Tweak: If you use 1 T of alum and use baby oil instead of cooking oil, the dough lasts longer and has a wonderful texture.
