Xbox 360 Official 320GB HD $97.99

90

I classify this as a bargain as it is over $30 cheaper than what I could find from any Australian retailer. Includes free delivery. P.S Don't recommend getting an un-official HD. I had one in the past and now I'm replacing with this..

I think this is normal price at ozgameshop? But yes still cheaper than local stores.

I actually bought one of these from ozgameshop in July for $89.99, so the price has gone up a little since then - but even so this is still an excellent price. It also came with a download code for StarWars Lego which, after it finally downloads, is a great game for free! [plus - bonus - you don't have to insert a disc to play it! Ah, to mod or not to mod, that is the question… ;-) ]

  • This is the regular price at ozgameshop, and is a pretty standard price for buying overseas. zavvi has a similar price too
This classifys a bargain just as much as anything else on ozgameshop..

not sure why ppl would get an official one ? ive got a 750gb in mine and its working great and you almost get 2.5x the space, only cost me $70 with a $10 adaptor from dealextreme.. works like a charm.

    • amen to that

    • are these 750gb (and the 320gb) compatible with the 360 fats on older firmware? Yes, I know they are different physical shapes. I own 2 fat and 1 slim and have made an adapter that I currently use with my 250gb slim hdd's to work on my fat.

I was sure when I HDDHackr'ed my drive back in the day, the xbox looked for a 250gb (or 120, 60, 20), and if it wasn't exactly that it would not accept it. Have they changed this? Or are you using the 750gb on a modified xbox?

      • Hddhacker supported 320GB firmware files when I did mine last year. I'd imagine some creative soul could've come up with a larger firmware, or completely unlocked it.

Edit: saying that, a hacked Xbox will take any drive from memory.

      • this is being used on an upgraded x360.

    • maybe its the one i bought but ive had lots of problems with my unofficial hard drive. i got a weird system error e68 or something which was a hard drive related error after i googled it. so i decided to go official.

  • Howdy,

With the official one, no update issues?
Got a link for unofficial $70 one please?

    Anyone got an Ozgameshop code?

Anyone got cheapest HALO 4 place to get?

    How long this deal?

    • my mate who works at EB got me halo 4. just get it! its so good :)

Good price at the moment. But please mind that you dont get the official Microsoft warranty for the product. In case of issues, you have to send it back and postage can be high.
I got the official one earlier from Dicksmith for over $105 -$115 dollars with some cashback (perhaps $25) from Microsoft. Dont remember the exact amounts.
Sold the game download code on ebay for $15.
@Plant, you can check price of games at this site. Not a big fan of the site, but sometimes, I check the prices at: http://www.gamecafe.com.au/

I don't know about posting international sites on Ozbargain. I could spend an entire day posting about bargains you can find overseas.

As we all know, when you buy electronics and software in Australia it comes with the "Australia" Tax where it costs almost double or sometimes 3x the price.

Some of the best deals can be found online/overseas. If you find good bargains overseas (and they ship to Australia) you should definitely post them!

      • I think he meant more along the lines of posting regular overseas prices (such as this) as 'bargains' - as they're not really bargains

        • i think people are interested in seeing items like this listed. the more cheaper items listed the better i say.

        • But then literally all items on ozgameshop could be posted.. Same applies to everything on zavvi and pretty much everything from overseas.

This price will be there next week, and the week after that. It's the standard price. So therefore it also raises the issue of how often do we post these 'deals' to ozbargain?

If ozgameshop had a sale, and the price was lower than normal - then yeah, it should be posted.

Find me a deal on American double stuff Oreos and ill build you a temple….

  • i can only comment on my slim x360 where a normal sata 2.5" laptop drive is used .. Ive never owned the older fat versions.

here is the adaptor im talking about. If you can stand the shipping time (4wks most of the time) then this is the option for you.

    • Ah! Yeah, that's not really an adapter, more a housing. I extracted the hdd out of my phat housing and installed it into a slim housing. Now I can use the same hdd in my slim and use an adapter to plug into my phat: http://www.evilcontrollers.com/products/accessories/evil-sli…

I almost bought it from there until I had a lightbulb moment and extracted the adapter out of the phat hdd housing!

I also did some research and it appears any non-standard hdd sizes (eg 720gb) will only work on a jtaged xbox.
