AliExpress Discount Expired Removes Free Postage

Hi, I’ve been using AliExpress for quite a few years now largely without issue, but just this last anniversary sale until now I either can’t order multiple products (for security reasons error) or if just individual item, I get coupon expired error, then it charges postage where it was free previously.

I recall some people here mentioning it. was trying to gauge the scale of this and any potential fix. I see some reddit posts but no solution. Even creating a new account doesn’t fix it from some accounts.

    does it show postage at the very last stage of the purchase process?

    I had $30 worth of choice items (free delivery with $15+ order) in my bucket and it showed a delivery fee - until I clicked to the final stage of the purchase process where it dropped away.

    It showed postage as Free then you go to pay (via paypal), then after thinking it gives the error, I’ve tried A Visa card and a prepaid wise card, USD,AUD. The amount was always over $20

    Similar issue during the last week. Can't complete the order on laptop using web browser. Says "security error, try again in 30 minutes or contact support". Support says try again in 30 minutes, and later "we'll get level x to look into it". Never resolves.

    Tried the app. Get a message saying "prices have changed" & all postage is then charged for each item. Accept this change of price, try to check out again, get the same message… and postage is added on again.

    I began experiencing this exact same issue a few days ago. First I was unable to place an order due to “security”. After opening a complaint the security issue went away, but then I began being hit with higher prices or no free shipping. Messages suggesting that my discount had expired. Sometimes the price went up by a few dollars, sometimes by quite a bit more. Customer support while very polite is hardly ever able to provide useful solutions. They kept on amazing me to logout, and log back in, reinstall the app, remove cache, etc nothing works but they keep on asking me to do the same (a bit like a broken record).

    It’s very annoying that the more you purchase from Aliexoress the more they try to charge you. Looks like they don’t value loyal customers.

      It is very annoying. Can I ask if you checked in daily and ordered regularly, I wonder if they determined that they could do this to us and we will still buy being hooked into there ecosystem ?

        Presumably so. If I buy something and think of going back to buy more the price has always gone up. Separate login - price is down.

        Yes I go in every day to get the coins and I order very regularly. Sadly it looks like I have to stop buying for them to treat me fairly. You’d think that they would want to delight their regular customers but it seems they want to take advantage of us.

    In way of update, i ordered a few items including the postage cost, but then cancelled them citing price increase as reason for cancellation. I did get monies refund. Today i ordered the same product and low and behold, i get free postage no problem…
