    YMMV but thought I'd share my experience with the previous version of the 2 soft suitcase deal, purchased just before Covid ..I took the large case to Europe once were allowed to fly again. Looked the goods but the retractable handle kinked and got stuck and one wheel collapsed on it's first trip..Needless to say it was outside warranty period. Think I'll stick with my American Tourister..still going strong after 15 years and many more journeys.

        Because of the sporadic way that ALDI goods work, getting a longterm review on one of their products that is currently on sale is nigh impossible.
        Previous versions are all we have to go by.

        I wasn't comparing…Just sharing my experience. For me, it was an indicator of the quality of the components used on the version I bought.. and I did say YMMV.

          Agree, the handle of our aldi suitcase broke within 18 months. Used it for only 3-4 trips

        The American Tourister suitcases are great, like you have had many hard trips out of mine - Fabric Two Wheeler. Problem now, large 2 wheel suitcases seem to be no longer available, all large cases with crap 4 wheel systems that often break!!. The 2 wheelers can take a hell of a beating on stairs or cobblestones of Europe.

        A personal preference but I find a soft case to be lighter than a hard case..Can pack a bit more in a soft case and still be within airline weight limits. Less cumbersome to store as well. Having said that I've traveled quite a bit with work over the years plus overseas recreationally and I've never owned a hard case. Nor have I ever broken any of the contents, including alcohol and other fragile items…yet that is!

      Luggage is something you don’t (IMO) skimp out on.

      My Samsonite wheeled duffle my parents bought when we moved countries in 2004 for all my stuff still works. Zip can be a bit funky but that is 20 years. I’ll take that.

    I bought a version of this at Aldi last year but unfortunately the Pleather material it is made out of started to crack and fall apart after around 6 months, like an old couch. I couldn't find the receipt and binned it.
    I guess it wasn't the worst backpack while it lasted and I was sad to see it go, but I'll be buying something more permanent next time.

    Edit: I am referring to the Executive Backpack specifically.

      There seems to be three different designs. Does yours look like one in particular? Also: Seriously PU? Like, the same stuff cheap chinese chairs are coated in which flakes off after a week of sunlight?

    I think there is no deal here for the backpack. Why would it be more expensive than dell backpack and has pu material?

    Other stuff seems to be a normal price.
