Phone Reimbursement Options

Hello, my work will reimburse $80 per month for a phone contract (service only, not device).

I am due an upgrade on my S21 Ultra and I'm at a loss on how to best use this reimbursement.

The Harvey Norman Pixel deal would have been perfect as the device was 'free' with the Optus contract. Is there anything similar about just now?

Or any ideas on how best to utilise this?

Thanks

You can take $800 off any Samsung S24 series device (or a $450 GC) if you sign up to Telstra $69/mo plan in store.

or $1150 off S24 series if you take the $99/mo 2 year contract.

80 service only pm is bloody generous damn - just go hard w/ the telstra plan as per above, pocket the voucher and be sorted for everything and anything coverage/speed wise.

See if anyone offers a smart watch data plan as part of a phone plan and includes the smart watch for free on contract maybe. Offer might not exist, Telstra completely delineate their handset repayments now from the service payment. JB used to have offers like $800 gift card when you go on a two year contract, that might be a way to extract some value from your work's reimbursement.

Voda do 1000 off an iPhone with a $75ish plan at Apple Stores.

Good thing is if your employer is reimbursing your usage bill, they likely will let you salary sacrifice your phone as well. If you do this you get off both income tax on the phone amount and GST. Combine this with $1000 off an iPhone and you got a really cheap iPhone. Obvs would also work with another phone if anyone else has a similar offer to the Voda/Apple deal.
