Hey I'm a local developer from Sydney and until a few months ago almost every time I wanted to go out, all of my friends bailed on me. So I made the Wingman app that now helps you instantly find your closest Wingman to hit on some women together, or at least trying to. ;)

There's exactly 3 rules to know on the Wingman app:

  1. Hit the Wingman-button
  2. Wait 1 minute
  3. Hit the bars with your new Wingman

Since people have been asking, here some soon to come features:

  • Rate other Wingman based on their performance
  • Book the best Wingman in your city/state/country

The app is for free until Sunday so that you can hit the bars together this weekend for free, afterwards we'll charge $1.99 to sign up. Would be interesting to hear some stories of some encounters here! :)

    so guys meet up with other guys they dont know to go out with????? or am i missing something?? cause if thats the case this is one sad and weird idea. I mean come on who goes out with strangers to a bar to hit on women??

      Yes that's is the whole idea. It's maybe sad that guys don't have anyone to go out with, because all of your friends bailed on them, but it's not sad if they are actually doing something to change that!

          Well on Grindr you hook up trough the app. On Wingman you meet up on the app to meet women in the real-world, so the hooking up has nothing to do with the app.

        Wingman tipp: If there are also guys in the group, chat them up casually first like:"Is that beer any good you're drinking… ah what are you guys doing here blabla, ah you're with these guys here(the girls)?" And then you say hello and you already have allowance from the guys.

        If there are guys with guys, NEVER talk to the guys, ALWAYS befriend the guys first. Always works ;)

    ok, so who is the scorer and who is the wingman? or do you just take it in turns?
    is there any legal contract to ensure once your stranger gets laid he will still help you get laid?
    what happens if ugly people start using this app?

      Totally up to you, most of the times, you will be winging each other, just like with a normal buddy. But if the other dude really has got an idea of what he's doing, you might do well listening to his advice.

      No legal contracts, gentleman's agreement, if he steals away your target, give him a 1-star rating.^^

    Could have used this 4 years ago when I was hitting bars alone because my friends would rather have poker nights or watch DVD's, I know how frustrating it is and back then you just had to fly solo. They are still single and hanging out on RSVP and playing poker, sad.

    This may sound obvious; wouldn't having another random guy around dilute your chances of finding a lady? Has anybody seriously ever had any luck going out with a 'wingman'? I don't have any luck going out alone but I think it would be a lot more intimidating for women to be approached by 2+ guys rather than one.

      Well a good Wingman is not spotted as such, but if you act just as a mate of your Wingee, that's all you need to do.

      Also, as a Wingman you only open the set(of girls) and then head off doing something else. Later on you can then meet up again to discuss what happened and then figure out new strategies. But that's how it works all the time anyway when you're out with you mates doesn't it? Here you just really try to find pattern of what works and what doesn't. :)
