Philips Hue Sync Box Stuck at Identifying Hue Sync Box

Hey all

Might need some assistance on this. I can’t find any articles online for this issue

I tried to set up my Hue Sync Box. I managed to set up the Bridge and Lights successfully by following the prompts via the Hue app.

I couldn’t get the Box to work. Here’s a picture of the issue. For reference, I have paired it successfully via bluetooth and connected it to the 2.4Ghz wifi, but stuck on that screen while my Hue box colour went to a solid white. A solid good old restart by long pressing the power button didn’t work either

Anyone able to assist? I bought this off from Marketplace and the buyer has confirmed that he has unlinked it from his account.

  • The Bridge doesn't have wifi built in does it? Have you connected it via ethernet, is it showing up at all?

    • I’ve connected it via Ethernet as instructed by the Hue app

      Not so sure if Hue Bridge can connect to wifi instead

      Edit: Just realised a typo on the forum post. Meant to say the box isn’t connecting 😅

  • Have you done a factory reset on the box?
    Unplug from the power, hold the button on the front then plug the power back in.

    Release the button when the light comes on.

      Yup, did a factory reset

      All good now, the issue was the Hue app where the Sync function doesn’t work fully. I’ve had to manually add it via settings —> accessories
