Best 'Optus Network' Based Prepaid Plan for Approx 70 Gig Per Month?

Not happy with my current provider amaysim, long story short, but they removed my data banking that I had saved up, I lost about 1.5 tb unfairly.

I've been with then for many years, so I'm out of the loop, any alternatives that use the optus network that are better value currently, with at least average customer service, that do monthly??

Very roughly I would need about 70 ish gig per month with rollover… Rollover is important for me, as some months I use a lot, others not much.

Thanks for any ideas :)

Edit: they restored my data bank eventually, though I'm still interested in alternatives due to their mess up…

You didn’t mention a current price point for worthwhile comparison.

Amaysim has unlimited data banking with no expiry unless you change plans or cancel. What did they do unfairly to you?

While it sucks that you lost your banked data, it does sound like you don't use your monthly data allowance anyhow.

Regardless, what did amaysim say when you contacted them?

Also what was your existing amaysim plan details and how much had you been paying?

Did you try contacting them to get it back?

It sounds pointless leaving Amaysim as I can only assume you changed plans, which involves a loss of data banking, as per their terms.
If it wasn't caused by a change of plans and a system error, why have you not contacted them to fix it?
Also, if you are upset with Amaysim, which is 100% owned by Optus, why do you want to stay on the Optus network? You are still supporting the same company either way so you aren't proving/making a statement by moving from one Optus or Optus-affiliated (MNVO) brand to another.

  • @Misha Bakunin it says that you were online about an hour ago from the time of posting this comment. Why don’t you actually comment and explain the specifics of your question instead of running off without saying a thing.

Honestly posts where the poster does not comment should be deleted and a time based ban put on them preventing them from posting. Honestly wastes everyone’s time.

    • I was hospitalized recently and am quite sick so yeah I cannot reply easily, or quickly. Thanks for making a massive judgement call /sarcasm.

      • But you were still able to browse ozbargain but not reply, gotcha.

        • I replied hours later that's true. I have severe head trauma from a mugging from immigrants. Give me a break ffs.

  • Summary, eventually they restored my data back.

My question still remains though, what's the best value Optus based network as I'm ready to change given their poor customer service…

So you complained that you "lost about 1.5 tb unfairly" instead you are ready to leave so you can lose it under your own terms? What logic is that.

You also never answered what actually happened. The next provider will most likely have the same condition or even a limit to how much you can databank. We don't know what happened so we cannot recommend you a provider that is different.

They upgraded me without my approval I complained and asked to go back to my old plan. Then I lost the data bank because it was one level down. Eventually they returned my data bank back, it took some effort.
