they are imported, mostly from middle east. I got a pair , works like local, no problem at all. Got updates and all in the past as well.

    • confirmed they are from Middle East… stating dealer ID 0016333/08, model SM-R510. Work well so I'm not complaining, just for those who figured they were local stock.

Picked these up from Officeworks for about $175 a few weeks ago (pricebeat Amazon) and I'm pretty happy with them.

Sound is great, comfort is much better than the pixel buds they replaced. ANC was probably better on the pixels, but not by much.

    No complaints really.

    • How is battery life? Seems to be the most common issue from the reviews ive looked at

      • With ANC probably ~4 and a half hours or so? Less if you're swapping between ambient mode, ANC, etc.

        • Is that including recharges from the case?

          • @trippy: No, 4 and a half hours without charging them. Constant usage, ie. If I fell asleep with them in.

I probably have to charge my case every 2 weeks or so if I use them everyday (1-2hrs per day)

    • Can i please ask, how is the microphone. I really want something i can use on the train or even in an office setting. Thanks

thanks britta - awesome deal! purchased it

  • Has anyone used these with an iPhone? If yes, can you please comment if you'd recommend them?

    • mate of mine bought the buds2 pro after he lost his AirPods, pairing with iPhone, he's struggling that his buds only run in default settings
he doesn't have an android phone, and complains the buds themselves are too sensitive to touch controls
he's now on the hunt for a pair of AirPods now

Do what i did for a mate who thinks giving crApple money is a good idea, set them up on your Android and then hand them over…the settings are saved in the buds, not the app

  • You guys haven't heard XM5, I compared both and was kind blown. I thought buds2 pro were the best until I heard sony.

Sony also have me the worst ear numbness, I think I hurt my ear canal or something. Be very very careful. I have been suffering from hearing loss for one whole month now

    • The tuning is better on the buds2 pro but I think the anc, fit, audio codecs and build quality are better on the sonys. I still prefer better tuning of the buds2 pro but Sony sound is very obvious and spacious.

      • Fit is way better on Buds2 pro. Sony, you have to push the foam tips inside ear canal which I really did not like.

Sound on Sony is way more open and spacious, it does not feel like you're wearing earbuds, sound is coming outside of the XM5. I think I'll try different tips before I let sony go.

I prefer buds2 due to fit, and anc. The best fit i found is on buds FE. You don't feel they're plugged in to your ears. The plastic lip holds this in your ear, you can ear food, run, do stuff, they'd still be there. Buds2 pro have fallen outside my ears twice, I feel I would loose them very soon.
