Is Price Beat on The Good Guys Still Eligible for Cashrewards?

I am about to use Cashrewards for the Good Guys (13% back!)
When I go on the Good Guys website, the item is $599. If I press price check, it discounts the item to $589. Is this still eligible for cashback?
I have lodged an enquiry with Cashrewards but since the deal ends tonight, I am eager to buy today.

Cashback is ineligible on the following:
Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching.

So I think my purchase should be eligible because it's still the price advertised on the merchant site. However, when I go to checkout, it says "discount -$10" and it's better value for me to get cashback than to get $10 only.

Thank you!

Im not sure but I think this could possibly mean no… but run with it anyway as we havent had a moaning cashback thread in hours.

  • You can probably get much more off just going in store and asking them to do a better price. Much better than the cashback which won't track anyway.

Well maybe….. You MIGHT get a 13% cashback, these things often have a way of 'failing'. See endless threads of CR/SB cashbacks not coming through.

LOL Willing to risk a ~$77 Cashback over a $10 discount.

    Don't get greedy.

    • The whole point of Ozbargain is to make our money and savings work hard for us. I'm not trying to be greedy, I am trying to maximise my savings on an expensive appliance. I've never had a cashback fail on me.

      • I'm aware of the point of this site, but the T&Cs seem clear, they can reject your CR claim if they wanted to, as it says "any type of discount", and you got a discount of the listed price.

You asked peoples thoughts and I told you mine. Don't get greedy. A $77 discount you know you should get, is better than a risk it all for an extra $10.

But you do you. Report back the results.
