Can't Find The Price of a SIM Card on Coles or Woolworths Online?

The Boost drought has me shopping around for large data SIM cards.

Most SIM's go on sale occasionally, and Coles and Woolies seem to advertise them in catalogues, and in store (if the specials tags haven't fallen off) but not online?

Is there a reason for this? Any way to see these prices online?

  • App

Coles App displays prices better, but regardless of availability.

You may need to switch stores on Woolworths App to view prices as it doesn't show them when unavailable.

    • I just installed both apps, but couldnt see anything? Only coles mobile seems to show up

      • Select in-store shopping to view them as these are ineligible for pick-up or delivery.

They are not allowed to sell online. It would interfere with government tracking.
ASD and other agencies track all SIMs in Australia.

It is a bit of a half-arsed effort though, since you can give anyone's ID when you activate, and nobody checks it is actually you.

    • OP only want to view the prices before go there.

      • We know. But that answers the why.

        • Current best deal is via online delivery: Optus 60GB for $12 plus $7 cashback. It actually deserves a dedicated post.

          • @Neoika: Hmmm … yes, so why can't the supermarkets deliver SIMs? Must be too hard somehow to meet the requirements??

    • What's the difference with the providers selling their own prepaid SIM online? Even other retailers do it.
Doesn't interfere with tracking at all, as you still need to activate it after you receive the physical card.
