Great game!

The critically acclaimed action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment – in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games – is coming to the Play List on April 25, 2024, for all EA Play members. PC Game Pass and Ultimate Game Pass members can start their adventures this week as a part of their membership to experience the next chapter in Cal Kestis’ saga.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has earned top accolades and awards – including IGN’s Best Action Game of 2023, PC Gamer’s Best Adventure Game of 2023, and a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media.

The game follows Cal Kestis as he explores an untamed galaxy while carrying its hopes for the future on his shoulders. Members can look forward to discovering new planets and revisiting familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy, each with unique biomes, challenges, and enemies. All the while, they’ll be mastering new skills, equipment, and abilities as they traverse the grandiose landscapes.

Enjoy!

will play series x version 60fps mode probably run better than $5000 PC

Digital Foundry: Star Wars Jedi Survivor PC Is Still The Worst Triple-A PC Port Of 2023

    • This is literally the reason I got it on XSX rather than my PC….

      • This game showed me the real benefit of performance mode. The graphics hardly changed but the smoothness of 60fps was gorgeous.

    • Not excusing the port but the 60fps mode on console has pretty bad image quality and frame generation can apparently kinda help which you can now do with RTX 2000 and 3000 cards with the DLSS3 to FSR3 mod

      • checking patch notes we've gotten patch 7.5 & 8 since

might give both console and pc a shot see what feels best for me

  • about time!

Does anyone know if this will end up on EA Play on PS5 on the same day? Can't seem to find any info online.

I really enjoyed the first game overall. This one though, story wise at least, felt like it had been put through the “modern gaming audience” sequel filter.
I dropped it about 5-6 hours in as it consistently pulled me out of the experience.

    • I didnt mind the story, I just didn't enjoy all of the pointless clothing/haircut collectibles and the gardening and stuff. It doesn't change the way you play as Kal, it just seemed like pointless filler to me. Good looking game though.

Unfortunately cosmetic collectibles feel like a necessary evil in the AAA space as allow for easy micro transactions/monetisation without affecting the core experience. Much prefer that optionality than story, critical path mission content barred behind a paywall.

    • “modern gaming audience” sequel filter

Curious what you mean by this.

      • In an attempt to elevate side characters to an importance of equal or greater than the game’s main protagonist, the writers do so by artificially telling the audience how great that said character/s are.

This is then further illustrated by showing how much better they are at a comparable task to the hero or by diminishing the hero’s prior achievements in a said area.

  • Just bought it the other day.

What's "The Play List"? Is that what EA are calling their thing now? It's in Game Pass, yeah, or is this something else?

How on earth did they not wait for May the 4th?

  • Been wanting to play this, glad I waited.

  • Freebies???

  • Would someone care to explain how this system works? I am on PC.
Do I need to own both EA Play and Xbox Game Pass? Or do both grant me access to the game?

      • I'm still confused. Help Mr Raynes … if you can explain it.

"Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can access EA Play on Xbox One, and soon on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, as well as Windows 10 PCs, and Xbox Game Pass for PC members get EA Play on Windows 10 PCs. Some of the best EA Play games will also be available for Ultimate members to play on Android devices from the cloud. An EA Play membership is available for $8.95 a month, which Game Pass members will have access to at no additional cost when it goes live later this year."

          It's confusing, but this page might clarify things;

Is EA Play automatically available to Game Pass subscribers?

Game Pass Ultimate subscribers automatically receive EA Play on Xbox, and you’ll be able to download and play EA Play games through the Xbox Game Pass experience. Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers get access to EA Play on PC via the EA Desktop app.
