  • Ooh good deal, I must pass though, I've still got 900G of your coffee left from the last bargain! :P

    • Agreed. And yeah i still have a kg to get through before i order more too.

  • So Mungulz and stumo,
What's the verdict on the taste?

Selling a deal like this in 500g bags isn't a bad idea too.
I don't need any right now, but good luck to you sir :)

    Cheers

    • I like it, better than what I've tried in Woolworths, (Vittoria etc).

      Shipping time was pretty quick.

    • Its good. I've been on baybeans for the past year or so.

This blend is a bit milder than what im used to. Would buy again (at competitive prices).

  • Wow Great Deal on single origin especially in 500g bags.
Unfortunately already purchased previous ozbargain coffee offer. :(
    Please post another deal later.
    Regards

  • How long does the coffee last for? I would expect this would take me at least 3-6 months to drink. Will it keep that long?

    • Hi 31mop, thank you for your question. You can still drink the coffee for 3-6months, much like Vittoria etc from Woolworths; however, it is considered fresh for about the first 2-3 weeks and is better drunk during this period. Over time, the flavours will decline. Have a great day

      • Well actually it really depends on if you have the coffee ground or not. I am very fussy with my coffee, so buy whole beans from a local roaster for $30 a kilo. So much of it comes down to your personal preference on bean type and roasting style. By visiting a bricks and mortar establishment you can experiment with their range in small quantities then buy in bulk. In my experience, beans stay fresh for several months as long as they are in an air tight container and stored in a dark cool pace without dramatic temperature fluctuations. Once ground however, they are only good for one or two days, perhaps three if you push it.

  • Sorry, I should clarify, this is actually going to be a gift for my mum as a stocking fillers for Xmas. She has a coffee machine with a grinder on it. This might be a stupid question, but are these beans whole or already ground? If whole, how many cups of coffee would 1.5kg make?

Other questions - is it better to drink within 3 weeks of you roasting them or after opening the packet (ie, if I keep the beans until Xmas, then that's already been 6 weeks… which then the beans may be no good. Or if it's 2-3 weeks after you open the packet then that will be fine.

    If you could advise?

    Cheers!

    • +3

There is a drop down box that gives you the option of whole bean or different grinds for plunger or machine. But whole beans will stay fresher for longer. If you prefer, and wanted to purchase deal now, I can hold off roasting for you till a later date and post nearer to Christmas, that way they will be fresher for your mum?
I would estimate about 100-200 coffees depending on how strong she likes it

      • Thanks. Have just bought some and put instructions in to roast in about a month's time. Thanks very much. Hoping the coffee is as good as your customer service!! :)

        Matt
