This tablet is even cheaper now than what I bought it at a month ago ($165).

I bought it purely for retro game emulation (runs most Dreamcast games at 2x on Redream at 60fps flawlessly) and basic web browsing and Youtube and it does it perfectly fine.

The only downside is the one single mono speaker, which is not good, but other than that, for the price, I'm very happy with it so far.

@Meije, Would you have any comments about this device being used purely as an ebook reader, please? Is it light to hold in the hand, good enough screen for ebooks, etc.? Thanks.

      • Is you want it purely for ebooks why wouldn’t you get a kindle?

I have the non-pro version and read ebooks on it, and it's fine. It's lightweight, and can mostly be managed with one hand.

If you only want it as an ebook reader, you may as well go for the lite version, which is a little smaller, cheaper, but less powerful.

  • Description says 256gb but title says 128?

Fixed. They also do sell the 256GB for an extra $13.

The iplays seem prone to touch input issues. Mine started out fine but about 2 months ago, when the screen has been on for a while it doesn't respond to touches. Have to lock and unlock and it works again.

Few other people have had these issues, I found the Telegram group for the pad and someone posted a fix which involved opening it up and taping some areas. Has worked fine since if anyone else is also having this issue. I got lucky as someone just posted up a tear down video on Facebook last week, right after I got the tape.

It is extremely light. 1920x1200 at 8.4inches is very sharp. Text and images look great.

      • I actually really like the tab, bar the touch issue :) the screen is pretty good.

    • I have an iplay and it has the same touch screen issue. Can you please share the facebook video? Also where did you get the tape from?

  • Couple it with the $30 D8 telescopic gamepad to turn it a great handheld gaming system.

  • Anyone have any experience with these and PS Remote Play? I hear the Wi-Fi can be dodgy on them.

  • OOS.

  • Thanks for posting this op.

Was tossing up between this and the Xiaoxin pad pro 2022 but decided to go the pad pro instead.

Would of gone the y700 2023 if it was cheaper.

  • Got the Pro max version couple of months back for my kid. The chrome based browser(s) just stopped working after updates. Firefox works fine though. Anyone else facing this issue?

  • i was tempted to buy this then went with the samsung a9 for update support and likley not so many quality issues.

been happy with it. mostly use to watch media on flights and as an ebook reader.

Does want I want. Didn't need the higher res and it's ziippy enough with the G99 CPU
