Toshiba Portege X20W-E Laptop Issues

Posted this question in the recent deal but thought I'd get better exposure on a separate thread. Computer newbie here sorry.

I bought a Toshiba Portege X20W-E off FB marketplace a while ago. Windows was already set up but didn't have a password required to be entered. Now it's not allowing me to log in (asking for password or USB key which neither I have).

What's my options? I just can't get into Windows to initiate the clean reinstall and can seem to find a simple "reinstall" option within BIOS menu. Happy to wipe clean if needed, just want it working again.

  Insert a USB stick with the windows installation file on it.. You will need access to another PC for this.

  If it doesn't auto boot from the USB then you'll need to adjust the boot order in the BIOS.

  Follow the steps on screen.

  LPT: if ever you buy a secondhand computer with OS pre installed then still perform a fresh install. You don't know what shit was also placed on the drive.

  You could also try some generic passwords(eg: password) or message the seller and ask what password they used.

  How did you login in the first place? Passcode given by the seller?

      but it suddenly as you to enter the password? is it Bitlocker password instead of Windows Password? Any Screenshot of the password screen.

          @CrispyChrispy: Right, I think it is Bitlocker password as it asked for USB key. If it is bitlocker, make sure you diaconnect all USB devices on the device and try a restart.

  Thanks all. Not sure what the hell happened, but followed the link in the other post https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57YGHnlZik4&t=193 and did the trick. thanks all. I'm just saving my files down and I'll go a fresh reinstall just to be safe!
