Air Asia - KL check in counter - how late is it open?

I'm flying into KL and taking a cheap flight $33AUD to Laos. The laos flight leaves at 730am-ish. I'm flying in the night before and have bought the red carpet treatment option for $33AUD. I am flying in late the night before and am considering just staying in the lounge that I get with the red carpet treatment. Does anyone know what time the AirAsia check in counters close at the LCCT? I hate KL, KL airport, everything about all of it. I would rather hang out in the singapore airport (sending my daughter back to Oz from there) and get into KL as late as possible.

TIA

  • all i saw was "I hate KL".

    :O

can i hear some stories (even though its offtopic to what you're looking for?)

    • Nooooo, please don't get her started. :)

      • mmmmm….. not today.

Too happy with the accor advantage plus presale.

  • The counter opens 3 hours before your flight and closes an hour prior to your departure time. But it does really depend how 'fast' they can process everyone. Generally the check in process in LCCT is faster as they don't (usually) weigh your hand luggage.

P/S: LCCT is low cost carrier terminal (for AUD$33 to Laos what do you expect?! It's a price of a meal here….), so if you want a good airport fly premium and you'll land at KLIA.

    • I love airasia. It is the entire of KL that I hate.

For red carpet they let you check in whenever. Last time, I checked in about 7 hours before my flight.

I just want to know how late at night the entire bank of AirAsia check in counters is open. If it is anything like it was in May, they will totally kiss my arse and let me check in as long as they are open.

  • Nevermind. I have booked my flight into that hellhole. Hopefully it'll all work out.

  • There are a couple of reasonable under $100 hotels in the klia area but sounds like you wouldn't be interested anyway.
Yeah changi airport is a great place to spend a couple of hours in transit. Part of the reason I've never gone used air Asia.
