  • How good is the DLC for these games? Already have both base games. Hmm, looks like the content is locked until you beat the main game, for Rise at least. Are any of you buying this bundle purely for the DLC?

Can't speak for the Sunbreak DLC for Rise but the Iceborne DLC for World is definitely worth it as it adds a lot to the game.

    • Iceborne has a lot of content, just as much as the base game. Sunbreak is an improvement over rise, though I'm not a fan of the endgame.

First time to play this game, what should I buy? Thanks

It's personal preference as both games are different.

I enjoyed World much more than Rise. Especially on PC. Rise is a switch port and the graphics aren't as good. I also find it doesn't have as much depth as World.

      • Thanks, will get this =)

  • I'm just going to point out that this bundle is missing the Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Kit DLC which includes:

    • "Kamurai" Hunter layered armor set
    • "Shuriken Collar" Palamute layered armor piece
    • "Fish Collar" Palico layered armor piece
    • Gestures (4 Jumps)
    • Samurai pose set
    • Kabuki face paint
    • "Izuchi Tail" hairstyle
    • Have you bought this bundle? There are reports that you still get it even though it doesn't show on the shop page.

      • Promo page would suggest you do get the deluxe kit for Rise also.

        • Lots of reports (and whinging) of people only having 7 items in the bundle in the store page though. I guess someone can report back once they've bought the bundle.

      • I haven't bought this bundle since I already have the games. But if you're considering buying, it's still worth it without the deluxe kit DLCs since the Deluxe kit DLCs are cosmetic things and once you play the game, you'll quickly discard those cosmetics for better stuff.

        • I think I'm going to hold off for now. I wrote a longer reply below but basically, I haven't even played the base games (don't have much time to play sink into games like this eitther) and can always buy the DLC later on if required. My pile of shame is humungous and I've recently gone on a table top game buying spree and haven't played any of those either. I even bought a Kobo Clara BW for my ebooks so I could start on my ebooks and stuff. I have so much content to go through but end up watching rubbish on youtube.

According to IsThereAnyDeal, these are the current best prices for the games + DLC (which is within cents of the all time best)

    Name Price Total
    Monster Hunter Rise $12.54
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak $18.64 $30.89
    Monster Hunter World $12.23
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne $17.57 $29.80

So overall you'd be saving a bit of money with this bundle, plus getting a few extras along the way.

    • Yeah, I had a look at that before and I think I'm going to hold off for once. The DLC look like they really only add to the game once you've beaten or at least play a lot of the main game (which is fine) and since I haven't even played the base games, it doesn't make sense to buy them now. I don't really have that much time to sink into games these days anyway. Will this bundle ever come back? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows, they could do this again with more MH games further into the future.

If I play the base games for both and need the DLC I'll purchase them separately on sale down the track. I don't really want the cosmetic only DLC. If I didn't have the base games, then this would be a much easier decision.

      • Not really. They have CHEAT set for you to skip the main story really fast and get into the DLC content

        • I did read that somewhere. You can get some special DLC armor that really helps/ruins the game? Sounds a bit like getting power armor early in Fallout 2. Nice if replaying the game but not cool if it's your first time.

  • this is a great deal. I would consider it just for Iceborne DLC by itself (I should have waited before buying Sunbreak!)

  • +1

Great deal if you're looking to get into the series.

Rise is on Game Pass if you want to try before buying.

  • They're great games, and this is a good deal if you're after the DLC, but by the same token MH World is available for 10 bucks at Cex so probably opt for that unless you really want to commit
