Has anyone try the Kobe wagyu beef in Japan. I'll be going there next month, I'll be in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Just wondering where is a good restaurant to try it in one of those cities? I have done some research heaps are teppanyaki restaurants and super expensive eg 11000-14000yen. Is there any place that's abit cheaper? Something around the 8000yen mark or so.

just went to japan earlier this year.
Tried kobe beef in Kyoto. The resto is called Grill Miyata near Gion area (if I remember correctly).
Around 8000 I think. It was juicy and I think the best beef I've ever eatenwas 8000yen a set dinner? was the beef any good?
I had it in Osaka but can't remember the name….it melts in your mouth like butter…..amazing
Anything cheaper and you are unlikely to get the same grade and marbling of the higher priced restaurants. Just something to consider.
