Playing this now for free on Game Pass. Loved the first one and really enjoying this one too.
I am getting choppy performance on a decent pc. No wonder the game was trashed on steam. I mean, apart from the performance issues it's fun, just like the first.
There was a fix you can apply. It fixed the my issues I had with "Optimizing shaders" on each boot along with the choppy bootup. Not sure why to this day the devs haven't applied that fix.

I found the first one rather boring. This was much more enjoyable.
Also enjoying this on Game Pass (XSX). For those gaming on an OLED it's worth playing with the games HDR settings, the default made the game look way to bright and washed out on my LG C1.
Really enjoying this on Gamepass.
