    Jumpers, Jeans, Skirts - Great for Christmas Prezzies!

    "oh thanks uncle, a nice floral shirt. what ive always wanted. and target branded too. ooo lucky me !"

    • Yeha im not a fan of cloths for Christmas either :/

  • Fair few sold out items; things like heaters for $30 or less, lamps, blender for $60, etc. Large collection of woman's clothes mostly.

    Lol doubt its below cost at those prices

    Heres a breakdown of say a belt

    $.50 each bought in china by wholesaler (10K units)
    $1.00 Price bigW buys it for (10K units)
    $15 the price you pay at the counter. (1 belt)

    (these number are fairly accurate 6 years ago)

      probably best to add;

      shipping container
      ship
      stevedore
      trucking company
      distribution centre
      truck
      loading, stock and tag
      someone to accept your $15 at the counter
      happy shareholders

      cost is rarely straightforward.

      • At those costs, items from china and BigW freight would be worked into the prices. Still insane mark ups. Some stock I import is at 2000% mark up. Stuff is so cheap from china.
        I would imagine belts would be cheaper than 50c from China too.

    • imo $15 is a convenience we pay for a $0.5 Belt you can buy in a shop in here. Alternatives are trying to source the $0.5 belt directly from China (hopefully will end up cheaper than $15 hehe and less than 3 weeks delivery time) or buying an Aussie brand from Australian shops. God knows how much it will cost =)

    below Cost Sale

    So for every item they sell, they lose money ??? I don't think so…

    • +3

      I think it means below the shelf cost of last month.

  • Translation:::

    Below the cost prices we would have to pay today, but we wont tell you that we got this lot last year and they were much cheaper then.

    Wondering - where are the 'giveaway' stock to justify using that tag on this deal?

  • I am a bit off Target since they sold fake MAC Cosmetics. I always thought you could trust what they sell but now I do not :(

    • At worst, they didn't know they were fake. At best, they weren't fake - they're still refuting the allegation and doing testing. They said they were bought from an official MAC wholesaler.

      • There is so much fake MAC out there it is untrue. MAC is owned by Estee Lauder & if they bought it wholesale they did not buy it from an authorised distributer or they wouldn't be taking them to court.
