Looking for Garmin GPS Watch and Tennis Racquet

Anyone know any good sites to buy GPS watches from? I have looked at Wiggle and they seem pretty good with price etc. Has anyone had experience with Garmin? I feel like they seem to better than Polar and Suunto but I could easily be swayed.

Also same thing for tennis racquets?

  • I've used Garmin watches for fair while. They're good, and they link in with third party websites - Garmin has it's own Training Center, but you can use Endomondo, Runkeeper etc. etc.

My 305 is pretty bulletproof and you can have heart rate monitors, cadence counters etc. The new Garmins are touch screen and have wireless connections. They can also put the GPS into standby mode to save battery. My (older) one can't.

IMHO the problem with Garmin is working out which one you want :)

What are your requirements - what sports will you be doing, and do you need your watch to be waterproof (for triathlons) or just water resistant (e.g. running, biking).

One thing: Motorola do an ACTIV GPS watch which is also a mp3 player. It's a neat combo, but the reviews on the net say that it's not really robust enough, and the software is rubbish.

  • Cheers for the reply.

I'm probably looking at the 610 or the 910xt. Do you know any other cheap websites other than Wiggle?
