Usually a laksa man but in Guangzhou earlier this year Mrs B and I found this noodle/soup cafe on a suburban side street.
The only way to describe it was a miso-like cloudy broth but not as strong, had slices of pork, water chestnuts and mushroom and, of course, noodles (wheat, I think). And it came with a side-serve of sliced pork belly, slow cooked in a soy and vinegar dressing, which you broke up and added to the soup. Just phenomenal.
If anyone can tell me what it was called so I can try to find it here, TIA.
