  • I would happily check out your store but I can't see your address on your website.

  • Thanks meetspin, you're welcome to register for the pop up event and you can check out the suit samples on the night - we don't have a physical store to keep the prices low.

  • Do you guys ever come to Sydney? Would try you out if you did.

Is there a final fitting before it is picked up?

    Thanks

    • Hi thanq, no plans for Sydney just yet. Will keep you posted if so. Thanks.

    • And to answer your second question, yes. With the bespoke option the process is:
-Register for the pop up night
-Suitnami will confirm your registration and let you know the address of the pop up store (Melbourne CBD)
-Come down on the night, check out a few sample suits, fabric swatches etc. If you're happy, proceed to the next step
-Get measured up for your suit. We go away and make the shell
-Three weeks later, come back to the same pop-up venue for a fitting
-We make a few tweaks and post the final product out.

  • +2

is it payment on delivery/pick up, or on ordering?
only asking as no details on who you are - no business name, no abn, no business address, no .au, no contact info at all
    scammers love this business model

If legit sounds decent enough for a taliored suit

    • Hi Mig, Mike from Suitnami here. Fair questions, I'll run through the list.

      1) For a made to measure suit, payment is up front. You come in on the pop-up night (after registering on the website), check out a few examples, if you're happy with the quality and want to order one, you then get measured up by the tailors (who are there on the night), select fabrics and styles etc. Payment is taken for your order, then the suit is made and posted out to you. For the bespoke option, similar process on the pop up night, however you only pay a deposit, but also come back for a fitting three weeks later (after the shell is made) to confirm the fit (again in the CBD). Once that is done, the rest of the payment is made, the tailors finish off your suit and then we post it out. Registrations are taken to ensure that we don't get too many people on the night. Once we've confirmed your registration, we'll send you the location of next tuesday's pop up (Melbourne CBD).

      2) We don't have a permanent store to keep costs down (and thus make it cheaper for you!). Measurements are done on pop up nights only (as above). Check out some brief background info here: http://www.suitnami.com/pages/about-us

Would also welcome any other feedback. Cheers.

      • Don't want to be a pain but you really didn't answer Mig's questions.

        What is your business name?
        What is your ABN?
        What are your contact details?

I'm in the market for a new suit but I have to tell you I would not be prepared to go ahead with this level of secrecy.

        • Hi Sternocleido
The business name is Suitnami, this is a partnership of two individuals. There is no ABN as our turnover is less than the threshold requiring us to be registered. From what I understand from our accountant this benefits you as we do not levy GST.

Payments are made through Paypal which will provide our contact details to you. Further, I understand they also provide consumer protection to you under Paypal's Buyer Protection policy https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/paypal-safety-and-secu….

          Keep the questions coming!

        • you can also reach us at [email protected] in the meantime.

  • Half-canvas, or even fused suits?

Where do you send the suits to be made, Thailand?

    • Says made in melbourne. i dont know whos making them. i would have suspected travellers, but i dont know they offer a bespoke option where you can have a baste fitting.

    • Hi Alfy

They're floating canvas. To ensure quality and support local industry the suits are made in Melbourne.
